Topics or fields of technology chosen by our applicants range from waste recycling, medical fabrics, hydrogen production and smart textiles to microwave technology, molecular diagnostics, gas measurement and animal health.

Partner News:
ECCIR logo
GCCIR has become ECCIR

Our Canadian network partner representing the Province of Alberta has recently undergone a name change. Formerly known as the German-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (GCCIR) for many years, it is now appropriately called the European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (ECCIR)

The new name reflects ECCIR’s growing from their roots in German-Canadian collaboration into successfully expanding its focus and activities toward facilitating European-Canadian research and business relations.

ECCIR joined the IraSME network in 2018 and has since participated in every call for proposals. Companies registered in Alberta may apply for R&D funding through the Alberta-Europe Technology Collaboration Fund.

For more information on the work and vision of ECCIR, please visit their website: https://eccir.ca/ or click on the button below.

For more details on the funding conditions for Albertan companies, please contact Ms. Katelyn Petersen and her team at kpetersen@eccir.ca.
