The Innovation Day by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is a yearly open air exhibition in Berlin which presents successful R&D projects funded through various of BMWi’s innovation support programmes. This year’s first ever entirely digital edition of this popular event will continue its tradition to showcase successful innovations and to provide an information platform for innovative SMEs.

CORNET - Collective Research Networking
Next CORNET call opening soon

On 7 July 2021, the 32nd CORNET Call for Proposals will be opening! International project consortia can submit proposals until 29 September 2021 (12 p.m. noon, CEST) online via the CORNET Submission Tool. In the upcoming call, all CORNET partner organisations are on board providing funding for positively evaluated project proposals, except the Czech Republic. For the first time, it is also possible to hand in project proposals in cooperation with partners from Taiwan.

CORNET – international Collective Research with a success rate of 66 per cent

Whereas IraSME helps individual SMEs in their transnational innovation activities close to market, its partner network CORNET (short for Collective Research Networking) supports international projects in the field of pre-competitive Collective Research. Beneficiaries are small- and medium-sized enterprises that have common research needs, do not have the capacity to conduct research on their own and can further utilise the published research results after a project has been completed.

Applying for funding within the CORNET framework is unbureaucratic and worthwile! As a well-established international network, CORNET accomplishs an average success rate of 66 per cent. Further information about the application process, the composition of international project consortia and the timeline of the upcoming call can be found on the CORNET website in the section Calls for Proposals.

The CORNET office will be happy to provide any further information needed. Interested parties are also welcome to take a look at the CORNET FAQs and register for the CORNET newsletter.
