27th Call has Opened – Deadline: 31 March 2021!

The 27th IraSME call for proposals has recently been published and is now open until 31 March 2021.

The participating countries/regions in this call are: Alberta (Canada), Austria, Brazil, Flanders (Belgium), Germany, Luxembourg, Russia, Turkey, and Wallonia (Belgium).

Companies and research institutes interested in applying for grants supporting transnational innovation collaboration can find all relevant information, application forms, etc. on the IraSME website.

We are particularly glad that Austria is able to join this call again after having had to pause for one year. The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is responsable for processing applications by SMEs and RTOs from Austria. For questions regarding Austria's funding conditions and procedures, please contact our colleagues at FFG for advice.

Unfortunately, the Czech Republic is not able to take part in the 27th call for proposals, but will most likely re-join the 28th call with its deadline end of September 2021.

Luxembourg & Germany: Webinar on Joint Funding Opportunities

Are you interested in learning more about the funding  conditions in Luxembourg and Germany, which are relevant when applying within an IraSME call for proposals?

Would you like to hear companies from both countries share their experiences working on a collaborative R&D project after having successfully applied for funding?

If so, please save this date: 28 January 2021.

Luxinnovation, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg's national innovation agency, and AiF Projekt GmbH, the agency responsible for managing the cooperation projects within the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), invite you for a free 1h virtual information session via GoToWebinar. More details on the agenda and the registration link will be available soon on the events section of the IraSME website, on www.zim.de and on www.luxinnovation.lu.

The IraSME coordination team, based at AiF Projekt GmbH in Berlin, Germany, is sending warm season's greetings to all our subscribers, network partners, colleagues, and friends!

We have all had a memorable year 2020 which made us face and tackle new challenges and uncertainties. Let us now enjoy some quiet time in the days to come, and together look forward to the new year 2021.

May you all stay healthy and safe - and continue to work on innovative R&D projects!

General Information

IraSME (International research activities by SMEs) is a network of ministries and funding agencies which are owners or managers of national and regional funding programmes for cooperative research projects between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Research and technology organisations (RTOs) can be additional partners or subcontractors in most of those programmes. Against the background of growing competition in global markets, IraSME supports SMEs in their transnational innovation activities, helps them acquiring technological know-how, extending their networks and bridging the gap between research and innovation. Current network partners are Alberta (Canada), Austria, Belgium (Wallonia and Flanders), Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Russia and Turkey.
