General Information

IraSME (International research activities by SMEs) is a network of ministries and funding agencies which are owners or managers of national and regional funding programmes for cooperative research projects between Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs) can be additional partners or subcontractors in most of those programmes. Against the background of growing competition in global markets, IraSME supports SMEs in their transnational innovation activities, helps them acquiring technological know-how, extending their networks and bridging the gap between research and innovation. Current network partners are Belgium (Wallonia and Flanders), Czech Republic, the region Hauts-de-France, Germany, Austria and Russia.

The third IraSME Partnering Event in 2016 was organised with our partner network CORNET and in cooperation with the Czech ministry MPO as well as the Enterprise Europe Network EEN in Brno. It took place in Prague at the Ministry of Industry and Trade with various elevator pitch presentations and discussions about science and technology in the Face-to-Face Meeting area. More than 60 participants initiated new contacts, developped joint project ideas and took the chance to get information on funding programmes.
In a relaxed atmosphere the participants from 7 countries had fruitful discussions on future projects.

In the first feedback we received, 98 % of the participants rated the event as excellent or good in all aspects. More than 85 % of the bilateral meetings led to concrete plans for cooperation.
