General Information

IraSME (International research activities by SMEs) is a network of ministries and funding agencies which are owners or managers of national and regional funding programs for cooperative research projects between Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) and in participation of Research and Technology organisations (RTOs).

Against the background of growing competition in global markets, IraSME supports SMEs in their transnational innovation activities, helps them to acquire technological know-how, extend their networks and bridge the gap between research and innovation. Current network partners are Belgium (Wallonia and Flanders), Czech Republic, the region Nord-Pas de Calais in France, Germany, Austria and Russia.

Review: Partnering Event Aachen on January 28, 2016

The first IraSME Partnering Event in 2016 was organised with our partner network CORNET and in cooperation with the EEN network supported by ZENIT e.V. took place in Aachen at the WZL Institute on campus of RWTH Aachen. More than 110 participants attended the event at WZL forum with more than 20 elevator pitch presentations and discussions about science and technology projects in the Face-to-Face meeting area. New contacts were initiated and joint project ideas could be developed.

Agenda | Participants list | Presentations | Photos from the Event
The Partnering Events are organised at least twice a year at the premises of one of our network partners and at the AiF Projekt GmbH garden area in Berlin each spring or summer, where about 200 SMEs and RTOs show their ideas in research and development projects funded within the national funding schemes, in Germany represented by IGF (CORNET) and ZIM (IraSME).

The Next Event will take place June 2, 2016 in line with the 23. Innovationday of BMWi in Berlin.

IraSME website: support section “How to build a project” online

On this page we provide help to prevent the most common mistakes we see in IraSME applications and the consortium setup. The “Project Check Up” provides a short questionnaire that tries to lead you from a first idea to the submission of your application in IraSME. The schemes on these pages offer you an overview on the stages from idea to proposal and provide you with further information if you follow the links.

The new tool will offer some nice features to you when searching for cooperation and project ideas.
